3/4-inch-wide leashes are suitable for most dogs. They are available in three lengths: 6-foot; 4-foot; 2-foot. Shorter leashes keep the dog closer. Consider the distance from your hand to the dogÕs collar when choosing a length. A leash can always be shortened by holding it closer to the dog.
